Protecting your data matters to me – especially in a therapeutic setting. This website is deliberately minimal: it sets no cookies, uses no analytics or tracking, loads no third-party content (fonts are served locally) and has no contact form.

2. Server log files

This site is hosted by Vercel Inc., 440 N Barranca Avenue #4133, Covina, CA 91723, USA. When you visit it, Vercel processes technically necessary data (IP address, approximate location derived from it, date and time, page requested, browser and system information). This is required to deliver the site securely and reliably (Art. 6(1)(f) GDPR).

Vercel processes this data on my behalf under a data processing agreement (Art. 28 GDPR); data may be transferred to the USA. Vercel is certified under the EU-U.S. Data Privacy Framework, so the transfer is based on the European Commission's adequacy decision (Art. 45 GDPR). The domain praxis-arkan.de is registered with IONOS SE, Montabaur, Germany, which only provides name resolution (DNS).

3. Contact by phone or email

When you call or write to me, I process your details to answer your enquiry and, if applicable, prepare treatment (Art. 6(1)(b) GDPR). Where you share health information, it is processed for the purpose of health care and under professional confidentiality (Art. 9(2)(h) GDPR). Unencrypted email can be read by third parties in transit, so please share sensitive information by phone or in person.

4. Your rights

You have the right of access, rectification, erasure, restriction of processing, data portability and objection. You can also lodge a complaint with a supervisory authority, e.g. the State Commissioner for Data Protection of North Rhine-Westphalia (LDI NRW, Düsseldorf).
